No, you cannot take the ICE exam unless you have received your certificate.
Can I pursue an Associate's Degree or another Bachelor's Degree other than B.S. Religion Degree?
Yes.
Why doesn't Liberty give direct transfer credit for the Bible Institute?
The Bible Institute is a certificate program and is not earned from an accredited degree program. The credit from the Bible Institute is non-transferable to regionally accredited institutions of higher learning. However, Liberty University has developed the ICE exams to validate the knowledge of the Bible Institute certificate holders.
Why do you require the ICE Exam?
The ICE exam process is an assessment tool recommended by the Council for Adult & Experiential Learning (CAEL) which recognizes that learning is a life-long activity and that college credit may be awarded for learning acquired through non-academic programs. The ICE exam results determine how much credit and which credit the Bible Instiotute certificate holder is eligible to receive.
How much does the assessment process cost?
The ICE exam has a $50 administrative fee and $15 per credit hour per course. The administrative fees cover the administrative and assessment costs which make it possible to award college credit for the Bible Institute certificate holders from Liberty University.
How many ICE exams will be required?
You will take one (1) validation exam per course.
How should I study and prepare for the ICE exam?
The ICE exam will test your overall knowledge and learning experience as a Bible Institute certificate holder. We recommend that you take the ICE exam soon after completion of the Bible Institute. The questions are based on Liberty University exams for courses such as BIBL 105, BIBL 110. The validation exam results will help them determine which courses you have received sufficient learning for and what credit may be awarded.
How do I take the ICE exam?
